The State Game Lodge is located in Custer State Park, built in 1920. It was the Summer White House for Calvin Coolidge in 1927, and visited by President Eisenhower in 1953. Jon painted through the trees from across the road where the modern improvements were not so prominent. The original hangs in the lodge.
